I went out with Codsworth to search the neighborhood. Deep down I didn't expect to find any clues to Shaun's whereabouts, but I hoped I could find something to cover myself. Some Halloween decor has survived these two hundred years. The irony here is twofold, once this was an occasion where themes of death and decay were used in a night of joy and fun and now the memory of such joyful and full of life days is used as a macabre decoration to a monument to destruction and to oblivion.
I found some useful things, a gun, some ammo, and a nice, well-maintained pair of sneakers. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything that could cover my body, but I couldn't depend on that to go after my Shaun.
I used the rest of the afternoon to prepare for the journey. Codsworth told me that there were people in Concord and that they were "reasonable", after all, they didn't shoot him "always". I knew I would have trouble ahead of me and so I decided to boil some water, eat something, and rest for a few minutes because I would be out of there as soon as it was night.
